The History of Tenuta San Vincenti

Nestled in the historic village of San Vincenti, first documented in 1750, our estate is deeply connected to the heritage of Chianti Classico.

For over 50 years, Tenuta San Vincenti has been producing wines that reflect the character of this remarkable terroir. Our first bottled vintage, released in 1974, marked the beginning of a winemaking tradition that continues today.

In the heart of Tuscany, between Florence and Siena, Tenuta San Vincenti is located just outside the historic village of San Vincenti in Gaiole in Chianti.

With only two owners throughout its history, Tenuta San Vincenti continues to honor its heritage while looking to the future. Today, the estate remains committed to producing exceptional Chianti Classico wines while preserving the traditions, landscape, and character that make this region so unique.

Spanning 60 hectares, the estate features vineyards at elevations of 430–600 meters above sea level, surrounded by the forests of Chianti and a beautifully restored farmhouse.

Rolling vineyards, olive groves, medieval churches, and historic castles define the landscape, with panoramic views stretching to the Crete Senesi, Monte Amiata, and the UNESCO World Heritage site of Val d'Orcia. Here, history, nature, and winemaking come together in perfect harmony.
